Crow Dome Brooch

I really, really really need to go on a course, which leads me to my confession: this wasn't meant to be black!
As my soldering skills are appauling, I completely mucked this up and scorched it, as you can see. I ended up giving up on my silver solder paste and using electrical solder, once again. I can get it to melt about 1/5 of the time, but then persuading anything to stick to it is such a git. I get the sinking feeling I need to get some borax or something, to make sure everything's sufficiently clean.
Anyway, I scorched my interview shirt and needed something to distract, and here it is! I think on a black shirt (like so) it'd be very understated, yet beautiful and arresting enough to satisfy even me.
I must aquire&learn patinas and pickling too.
Haroo!
Please, buy stuff off me, I need a new jacket!
